PRODUCTION INCENTIVES
A RMB 5 billion incentive fund will be used to award a generous cash rebate for Film and TV projects produced here. Global Film and TV production teams producing their projects in Qingdao will enjoy a maximum incentive allocation in the form of a 40% cash rebate.
Eligible companies registered to do business in Wanda Studios Qingdao (including those engaged in Film and TV productions, Film and TV post-production and leasing of filming equipment) will also enjoy up to a 10% rebate on annual revenue via the fund of Lingshan Bay Film and TV Cultural Industrial Park.
Grants can be used to defray production costs of domestic and foreign feature films and TV series, which will make filming in Qingdao a competitive choice.

In addition, the Digital Lab features two of the world’s most advanced soundstages confirming to the standard of Dolby Premier Studio Certification and Dolby Features Studio Certification, creating a precise movie sound space and a surround sound atmosphere, offering the highest film sound production standard in China. The Digital Lab offers secure data transmission via a 10 GB high-speed production network.

Wanda Studios’ Maker Space consists of three great platforms which are Film and TV Culture Finance, Art Exchange, and Production Technology, and two large centers which are Film and TV Culture Training and Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Spreading over 170 hectares, Wanda Studios boasts 40 state-of-the-art soundstages built to the highest international standards, including the world’s largest soundstage with an area of 10,000m2, the world’s most advanced underwater stage and the largest exterior water tank. These stages can meet the filming needs of all domestic and overseas production teams. With Pinewood Studios UK as the design consultant, Wanda Studios makes sure that its stages and facilities all meet the highest international standards. 32 workshops providing support for costume, paint/spray work, carpentry and mill, and steelwork are adjacent to each cluster of stages. The auxiliary rooms adjacent to these stages and workshops offer a diverse set of functions (e.g. wardrobe space, hair & make-up rooms and dressing rooms) that make shooting on stage convenient for daily filming and longer projects. The backlot includes retail facade and backlot pad. The retail facade consists of fifteen 3-to-5-story buildings in different styles, including old Shanghai set, European and American styled set, etc. Our huge vacant backlot pad provides the perfect space to customize sets for exterior filmmaking.
