
Qingdao Daily/Qingdao Daily APP/dailyqd.com 2017 Asia Media Summit (2017 AMS) was inaugurated in Qingdao on June 6. It aims to further strengthen the cooperation between China and other countries in the Asian-pacific Region and along the Silk Road in the field of media, and to promote the Silk Road spirit of "peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit". The Summit is sponsored by Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) and undertaken by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television and Qingdao Municipal People's Government.

The event is themed with "New Media Age and Global Development". Representatives will discuss about how current media should face challenges, better promote global development and facilitate exchanges and mutual learning among different cultures.

2017 AMS Media Expo will be held during the summit, with the aim to carry forward exchanges and cooperation among Chinese and international media on TV and film production and technical equipment manufacturing.
