If you look at China’s long history of film you’ll find that one city in particular sticks out, Qingdao. For over 100 years Qingdao city has stood through the tests of China’s film and television industry surviving and thriving through every major change. Today Qingdao’s vibrant film and television industry continues to write the story of its legend.

Qingdao’s United Nations Global Film and Television Creativity Network has entered the final stages of development. During a meeting for the Asian Media Summit Meeting, 11 members of the United Nations “Global Creativity Network” Including Englands city of Brandord will gather in the beautiful seaside city of Qingdao to offer advice in developing the “City of Film”.

Zhang Jiating, Party Secretary for the Provincial Standing Committee, stated that the development of cultured industries is an essential aspect of transforming old and new kinetic energy, to tap into the historical and cultural resources of the city, and maintain and remember the importance of the relationship between culture and industry growth.
