The China Radio and Television Qingdao 5G High tech Video Experimental Park, as the only high-tech video park established by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television in China, is jointly built by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, provinces, and cities. It shoulders major tasks such as leading the 5G high-tech video industry, tackling key technologies, and demonstrating applications, and helps promote high-quality and innovative development of broadcasting, television, and network audiovisual industries.

The total investment is 1.5 billion yuan, mainly for the construction of three functional areas: 5G high-tech video research and development production, enterprise headquarters gathering, and supporting services. There are over 300 registered enterprises in the industrial chain, 145 signed in enterprises, 25 chain leading enterprises such as BOE, Hisense, Huawei, and 6 key laboratories and research institutions including the National High tech Video Engineering Center of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television.

The park is based on film and television content, and is driven by technological innovation to upgrade the content industry. High tech videos are being tested first. Currently, the park has collaborated with enterprises in the park to innovate and launch a series of high-tech video content creative products based on AR, immersive, naked eye 3D, MR and other technologies.
