Plot summary: The film tells a story in ancient time when a Chinese elite troop had a life-and-death battle with monsters in the world-famous Great Wall in order to defend human beings. European mercenary William (Matt Damon) and his companion Pero Tovar (Pedro Pascal) traveled for a long distance to China for stealing gunpowder formula. Accidentally they discovered that the Great Wall was built to resist the monsters which came to the earth every 60 years. Great Wall internally was installed with many traps and looked like a "land-based aircraft carrier." A military sect called the Nameless Order was responsible for guarding the Great Wall for generations. Here William witnessed the monsters' cruelty, and the elite and brave Nameless Order. He was moved by the trust between the soldiers and their sacrifice. Without hesitation, he joined the combat for guarding human beings.
