To support our city to apply for the “City of Films” and make the primary and secondary students in our city learn about the great significance of it, Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Press and Publication and Qingdao Newspapering Media Group Co., Ltd. jointly hold the “Oriental Movie Metropolis Cup” 2017 Qingdao Primary and Secondary School Student Summer Vacation Essay Competition themed on “City of Films and I” in this summer. The activity is hosted by Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Press and Publication and Qingdao Newspapering Media Group Co., Ltd., jointly organized by Qingdao Morning News and Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis with no requirements for participation so all primary and secondary school students are able to take part in. Starting from July 3 to August 31, 2017, the essay competition will be appraised from September 1 to 30, 2017.

The essay shall be given a self-made title with no limitation of content and subject, but shall be original and not exceed 800 characters. There will be the first, second, third and excellent awards as well as several Internet Popularity Awards in the competition. Those organizations and schools that actively participate the event will be given “Outstanding Organization Awards” and those excellent works will be published on Qingdao Morning News.
