Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis Film Summit and Promotion: On October 18, 2016, Qingdao Municipal Government and Wanda group held a film summit in Los Angeles, which is a global investment fair, and a recommendation for Qingdao as a film city. The mayor of Los Angeles, leaders of Qingdao Municipal Government, Wang Jianlin, chairman of Wanda group, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, chairman of Oscar Academy, and some Hollywood studios, brokerage firms and film-related firms, i.e. Warner Brothers, Sony, 21st Century Fox, Legend, Lionsgate, along with some famous directors, producers and actors, totally more than 400 people attended the summit, which imposed great influences on Chinese and US movie industry in these years.The Associated Press, Wall Street Journal, New York Times and other media devoted huge efforts to report it and left extensive influences on the international film industry.
