Qingdao Badaguan is located at Taipingjiao Huiquanjia cape in Qingdao, Shandong province. Zhanshan Mountain and Taipingshan Mountain arrange like a screen in the north of it, covering an area of 1.5 million m2. Located at the eastern part of the cape, Badaguan became a famous scenic convalescent region in China. It covers an area of more than 70 hectares, in which ten quiet and cool roads lie vertically and horizontally. And the main roads are named after China's eight most famous passes, therefore, it is collectively referred to as "Badaguan" (The Eight Great Passes). At the same time, Badaguan has many villa areas built in styles of different countries, including the architectural styles of over 20 countries such as Russia, Britain,France, Germany, United States, Denmark, Greece, Spain, Switzerland, Japan and so on. Therefore, Badaguan is also known as the "World Architecture Expo". "Qingdao Badaguan Modern Architecture" was officially announced by the state council as one of the national key units of cultural relics protection on June 25, 2001.

Badaguan is praised as the "World Architecture Expo" as it owns plentiful buildings with a variety of national architectural styles. There are more than 20 kinds of architectural styles in Badaguan, such as Russian, British, French, German, American, Danish, Greek, Spanish, Swiss and Japanese style. All of these buildings are called "Qingdao Badaguan Modern Architecture" as a whole, which were admitted into the key units of cultural relics protection on June 25, 2001.
