“North Shadow” and “ Light Shadow” come together to build a new base for Qingdao film.

China University of Science and Technology and the Beijing Film Institute of Modern Creative Media Academy in addition to the Qingdao Light Shadow Online Film and Television technology Co., Ltd. together have created a new film and television training base. Settled in Qingdao’s Southern district at Hubei road 17 German Sailors Club, the century old german building has been renovated into a 190 Shadow Club which will foster youth film and television talent.

In addition, in order to serve fans of film and television the location will provide a series of forums, lectures and training sessions throughout 2017.

The 1907 Light and Shadow Club plans to have frequent showings of new movies in addition to classic films. The 17th floor of the Qingdao Film Museum will official open mid-2017 as an intriguing interactive experience. The Cinema Club will also be launching three bookstores including a movie themed store which specializes in Film themed books

Wang Honghai, Vice President of the Beijing Film Academy and dean of the Modern Creative Media Academy, said that the Creative Media Academy and the 1907 Light and Shadow Club

were tied for the earliest existing film projection sights in China. Ensuing the completion of the training base, the two will work together for the cause of Qingdao and China’s film industry.
