Zhao Baole, born in October 1958 in Qingdao, Shandong province, acts as a comedian, host, national first-class screenwriter, member of the China National Democratic Construction Association and member of the Central Cultural Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association.

He played a role in TV comedy Happy Ah Q in 1987 and joined the China Radio Art Troupe in 1988 as an official crosstalk comedian, performing many crosstalk shows like a Messenger Call, Not for Sure. After joining the CCTV in 1998, he began to host the program of Wonderful, Happy Together of the CCTV international channel since 2000, Making a Date with you in 2002, the CCTV Spring Festival Gala in 2004, the CCTV Spring Festival opera party since 2008. In 2010, he presided over the program of Chinese Talent Show in Shandong TV. In 2011, he participated in the Qingdao Spring Festival Gala. In 2014, he also presided over the CCTV’s program of Dialogue on Influence.
