A new film museum has been added to the 'World Film Capital'! On October 24, 2024, Qingdao Xingbo Film Museum was officially completed at Xingbo International Cinema on the fourth floor of Thumb Square in Laoshan District. Curator Liu Jianxin stated that as the first film museum in the province with an area of over 1000 square meters, the Xingbo Film Museum houses a series of collections including century old cameras, Republic of China movie tickets, collection level movie posters, and movie comics. Fans can both watch movies and appreciate movie collections, deeply experiencing the charm of film art.

The Qingdao Xingbo Film Museum is adjacent to the cinema, allowing audiences to both watch movies and visit the museum, and deeply experience the charm of cinema. As a film practitioner, Liu Jianxin has been collecting since the 1990s, and the museum's collection showcases his artistic vision. Liu Jianxin said, "In addition to our film collection, we have also set up a dedicated Qingdao film exhibition area, using a group of poster walls of movies filmed in Qingdao to tell the history of Qingdao's film industry. At the same time, we have exhibited movie tickets from many old cinemas in Qingdao. Through future study tours, we hope to let more students and young movie fans understand the inseparable bond between Qingdao and film.
